I’m hard at work on the book. It’s such a massive project, and I’m two months in:

  • Prologue completely done
  • Chapter 1 entirely storyboarded, partially illustrated.
  • Sibling Interview #1 done, and I must write this up soon
  • The rest of the book structured and fleshed out, but not script-written or storyboarded

This morning I decided I wanted to do a short (2 hour) project which I completed quickly. Just to give me a bit of satisfaction that you get when you finish something. The book won’t be complete for a long time yet, so I won’t get that satisfaction until… oh, I don’t know.

Small news update:

  • My self-funding lasts until August. So I’m writing and drawing full-time until then.
  • I’ve secured myself a job for September (teaching). I’ll have to cut but back from full-time book work at that point. The plan is that by that point, I’ll have at least the entire story written and storyboarded. Then, I can spend the year or two after that doing final illustration.
