Hi there!
Storyboard for Chapter 2, done.
The final-quality illustration for Chapter 1 is crawling along. I’m getting more comfortable with storyboarding, but somehow less comfortable with good-quality drawing. Weird, that. Each page of Final Illustration takes one entire day of work to complete. Frustratingly slow.
I keep trying to experiment with other styles, so that I can do something wild and reckless – rather than slow and painstaking. But somehow, it’s not coming. I can’t let go of the finer details. I’m trying to experiment with wilder, more creative styles… we’ll see.
I hope you’ve enjoyed (or, at least appreciated, given that the subject matter isn’t the happiest) this chapter. At the moment I have a lot of travelling to do, so Chapter 3 should be out in about a month.
Thanks for reading.
It’s clear that your whole family went through so much, and each of you carried a heavy burden. The chaos and pain you experienced on so many levels really comes through in your storytelling. I admire your courage in sharing this.
